how I work.
I work concept-first.
Every project starts with a vision. What something should communicate, how it should feel, and why it should exist. From there, the rest follows.
I approach every project from a creative director’s perspective.
Whether I’m shaping an idea, directing a campaign, or executing the work myself.
I can step into a project at different stages, depending on what’s needed.
Sometimes that means developing a concept from scratch. Other times it means refining an existing idea, directing the visual language, or translating it into photography, video, or design.
roles I play:
Concept development & visual narratives
Creative and art direction
Photography and video production
Brand and graphic design
While every project is unique, the work usually moves through a few key phases
direction.
Defining the concept, tone, and visual world.
translation.
Choosing the right medium to tell the story.
execution.
Producing the work itself. Whether that’s directing, creating, shooting or designing.
I stay closely involved throughout to make sure the original idea survives contact with reality.
collaboration & scaling.
Friendly Bastard Studio is led by me, but not limited to me.
Depending on the scope of a project, I work independently or collaborate with a trusted network of creatives, from producers and stylists to designers and filmmakers.
This keeps things flexible, focused, and tailored to what the project needs.
is it a match?
I work best with clients who value ideas, trust collaboration, and are open to exploration.
If you’re looking for someone to simply execute instructions, there are plenty of great people who do that.
If you want a creative partner who thinks with you, challenges assumptions, and cares about coherence across everything you put into the world, we’ll probably work well together.
